Vincent Desportes is an international lecturer specialising in strategy, leadership and geopolitics, and is also a recognised expert in strategic and military affairs.
Vincent was based in the US between 1998 and 2003 where he served as military attaché to the French Embassy in Washington. On his return to France, he was appointed defence advisor to the Secretary General of National Defence, before taking over as Director of the CDEF where he was responsible for strategy development and feedback for the French army. From 2008 to 2010, he headed the Ecole de Guerre, the French army’s advanced training institute.
An engineer with a doctorate in history and advanced degrees in business administration and sociology, Vincent Desportes regularly takes part in major radio and television debates, is an associate professor at Sciences Po Paris and teaches strategy at several prestigious international universities and business schools.
