CEDEP’s General Management Program (GMP NXT) is an immersive executive education acceleration program dedicated to senior leaders, bringing together worldwide experts and academics and unique pedagogical approaches for a transformational leadership development experience.

During a five-month hybrid learning journey, participants learn to embrace the challenges of our inter-connected and ever-changing business world. They adapt to new perspectives, develop the skills and competencies to navigate uncertainty and learn to progress in complex situations.

In a small and highly participative group environment, participants can network, strategise and reflect with peers.

Objectives

The GMP NXT’s objective is to develop adaptive and resilient leaders who inspire teams to face an ever-complex world. We employ an interdisciplinary and cross-industry approach that breaks away from classic functional silos and embraces a holistic stance of how we – individuals and company communities – can shape future developments. Participants explore innovative ways to create value, grow sustainably and have an immediate impact on their organisation.

Everything is connected: the outside world sets the scene for our ambitions and actions – until we make it happen differently. Strategy provides orientation for and through the organisation. People at all layers can be enablers of change and progress.

The collaborative learning journey revolves around a Strategic Challenge where participants share a real-life business challenge. Participants work with peers to dissect the challenge, broaden perspectives and question underlying assumptions. They devise business experiments to conduct within the workplace to help drive the challenge forward and leave the program with an action plan.

Themes may include:

 •   Industry 4.0 and the wider digital landscape (a digital future, web 3.0, geopolitics, societal shifts)

•   Sustainable businesses and humanity (circular economy, value creation, decarbonisation, global vs local)

•   Emerging Strategy – renewal, reconstruction, learning from existing and future market spaces (market insights, scenario planning, eco-systems strategy, experimentation, decision making)

 •   Open vs. Close Management Processes: from managing inputs to managing outcomes (nature of employment, cognitive diversity, collaboration, governance)

•   Managing People (self-awareness, the leader as a coach, emotional intelligence, storytelling, mental health, fair process leadership).

Learning journey

The GMP NXT gives senior managers the unique opportunity to be immersed in a stimulating environment with creative, strong and knowledgeable leaders from diverse backgrounds and industries. Deploying a wide variety of pedagogical approaches, the program focuses on personal development and the common managerial challenges today’s leaders are facing to develop high value employees.

The GMP NXT is a five-month hybrid program with face-to-face modules as the grounded elements and virtual content capsules as the adaptable elements. Face-to-face modules take place both on our French campus and a global location.

Months 1-2

A 60-minute personal call to welcome and acclimate participants.
A 90-minute virtual kick-off to build the GMP NXT community.
A 9-day face-to-face module at our French campus dedicated to developing truly agile leadership. It covers the essentials and creates a sense of community and curiosity.

Months 3-4

2 x 2-day virtual content capsules emerging from participants’ needs. Participants are immersed into a specific subject allowing for an in-depth exploration with content experts (academics and practitioners) and their peers.

Month 5

An 9-day face-to-face seminar in a global location to expose participants to a different yet progressive reality. Dialogues, learnings expeditions, activities and keynote speakers will be dependent on location.

Post-Program

A half-day virtual harvest takes place 60 days after the program. Individual learning capsules adapted to personal needs will also be available.

Ideal GMP NXT participants include senior leaders with 15 to 25 years’ experience who have recently taken up a GM role or are on a GM track. The program is also ideal for leaders who head up, or are in the succession plan to head up, a global function, or who manage corporate transformation projects.
